School meals are freshly cooked on site by Cheeky Pea. Children can have meals daily or on an occasional basis and parents order meals in advance from the weekly menu. The meals are good quality and good value, with three menu choices and a self-serve fresh salad bar and bread on offer every day.

For children in Years 3,4,5,and 6 School meals cost £2.05 per day. For children in Foundation Stage, Years 1 and 2 school meals are free through the Government's Universal Free School Meal scheme – but these can only be provided if they are ordered in advance.  meals cannot be provided without an order as the kitchen cannot know how many children to cater for.

All meals need to be ordered by a Friday for the following week (and up to three weeks at a time) via the Cheeky Pea website (www.cheekypea.co.uk). As a back-up, paper orders are available from Reception.

As a Healthy School we encourage all parents to take advantage of free school meals to ensure that children are well nourished to support their learning and to help to develop lifelong healthy eating habits. The free meals can also save parents up to £400 a year, not to mention the time involved in shopping for and preparing packed lunches!

Children may bring a healthy packed lunch and this should include only healthy food such as fruit, vegetable sticks, salad and sandwiches and yoghurt. No crisps, chocolate, fizzy drinks or sweets please – although children can have one less-healthy treat if you wish on Fridays.

Please avoid nut products, especially peanut butter in packed lunches as some children have nut allergies. Please ensure lunchboxes and drinks bottles are labelled with your child’s name and class.
